I believe that environmental action is crucial to the protection of private property rights.

The next generation of Republicans believe that we do not have the right to pollute our neighbor's land, air, or water, and that we do not have the right to harm the natural state of our community's environment. Laws which protect the environment protect private property.

There is much we can do to improve the environment without employing radical measures. The goal of environmental protection is to keep national and community habitat and resources healthy for generations to come. We do not need to subscribe to extreme environmental views which devalue human beings or ignore sound scientific analysis.

As a scientist, professional, citizen, and father I believe I am well-qualified to evaluate the environmental issues facing our families. I am committed to a realistic approach that addresses the needs of our environment while strengthening the protection of property rights.
